Before the overnight, review the actual weather forecast with your Scout and discuss suitable clothing. Follow the event leader's confirmed equipment list and food guidance; do not purchase extra gear unless requested.

Attend the qualifying council/district overnight or pack campout with your Scout. The preparation meeting alone does not complete the overnight requirement. Follow the current event safety plan, buddy expectations, and site instructions.

Tell the den leader when the weather-and-clothing discussion, packing, and overnight are complete. Share no personal health details through this handout. Contact the event leader privately with access or equipment questions.
